Plot Overview

Antinous is killed by an arrow to the neck by Odysseus while drinking wine
Odysseus’s disguise(a beggar) is lifted, which causes fear to spread between the suitors
Eurymachus begs for forgiveness since the “worst” suitor(Antinous) has died already.
Odysseus gives no mercy and shoots him in the heart
Telemachus kills Amphinomus with a spear to the heart

Telemachus goes to the storage room and arms his allies, but accidentally leaves the door open
Melanthius seeing the door open, supplies the suitors with weaponry
The suitors corner Odysseus and allies while Athena arrives under the disguise as Mentor
Odysseus and the suitors both call for Mentor’s help
Athena tells Odysseus and Telemachus to prove themselves worthy of her assistance
After Odysseus and Telemachus kill a significant amount of suitors, Athena projects her symbol, the aegis(a shield)
In fear that the gods are on Odysseus’s side, the suitors try to run, but Odysseus kills them all.
Odysseus calls for Eurycleia who tells him about the unfaithful maids
Odysseus makes the maids clean the whole palace after the bloodbath
After they clean the palace, Odysseus hangs them from a cable and gives them a slow, painful death
